Empowering women to protect and restore their pelvic health at every stage in life.

At Materna Medical, we create innovative solutions for women’s pelvic health, addressing the most common challenges they face.

Our first product, Milli Vaginal Dilator with Vibration
The Milli Expanding Vaginal Dilator is an all-in-one solution to treat the common problem of vaginal muscle tightness (vaginismus) and painful sex. Milli is the first and only dilator that expands incrementally, one “Milli-meter” at a time and includes vibration. The Milli brand empowers women to take control of their pelvic condition, which can be caused by common situations faced in a lifetime—menopause, postpartum, cancer side effects, sexual assault, and others. This modern solution fills an unmet clinical need for an underappreciated patient population. Launched in 2019, it is FDA-cleared to be sold direct-to-consumer through e-commerce and by referral from healthcare professionals. Learn more at hellomilli.com.

Our second product, the Ellora System,* for Labor and Delivery
The Ellora System is a clinical-stage expanding obstetrical dilator and retention set. It is designed to support women during labor by preparing the pelvic floor muscles for vaginal childbirth with slow, precise, incremental stretching of the vaginal canal. The Ellora System is intended to make vaginal delivery easier, faster, and safer for laboring women. This novel approach aims to potentially reduce pelvic muscle injury, which is a known contributor to pelvic organ prolapse. The EASE study is also collecting data to assess the impact of the Ellora System on potentially reducing delivery time, the need for instruments used during deliveries (use of vacuum or forceps to deliver a baby), the need for C-section, and maternal recovery time. Additional safety data is being collected on the rate of postpartum hemorrhage and shoulder dystocia.
